Dream meaning of being chased in western tradition

If in a dream the snake was chasing you , for some experts in dream interpretation from western europe, it could mean that you are worried that a loved one will harm you severely, but it could also mean that you are scared of the changes that are happening in your life.

If you have a dream in which you are being pursued by a serpent, you may be feeling impotent in your waking life. According to this theory, the girth of the serpent represents the proportionate immensity of the source of your anxiety.

In the same vein as these two interpretations, another explanation coming these group of dream experts, holds that the attacking serpent symbolizes an intractable issue that necessitates a difficult choice. This third possibility would link the previous two and provide a full interpretation of the dream.

Likewise, having a dream in which you see one of these creatures can either be a portent of a fresh start or a moment of regeneration, or it can be an indication that a malevolent spirit is keeping an eye on you.

On the other hand, if a serpent is following you around in your dream, it could suggest that you have trouble communicating with other people. This is due to the fact that the serpent is a symbol of rage and aggressiveness. Additionally, it may signify an attitude of alertness.

However, some few western authors really believe that if we dream of being pursued by a serpent, that can be interpreted as a caution not to say things that we will come to repent later. It may also represent a threat from the inside, such as anxiety regarding childbirth or achievement in the workplace.

In a broader sense, however, they can be symbolic of a knowledge of the worth of oneself as well as the necessity to be renewed. It is a significant indication that transformation is taking place in your life at this time. It may represent a new commencement in your life or the beginning of a new period in your life. You should not allow dread to prevent us from accomplishing the objectives that we have set for ourselves and our family members.

  1. I had a dream about being chased by a serpent. It was me and a few others I don’t remember who exactly but other kids probably me with my siblings and cousins. We were running away from the serpent but the serpent chose to follow me and as I was climbing the stairs it came and bit me on my forehead. After that, I rushed back towards my parents. They were sitting with my aunt and her husband and their children and I kept shouting their names but they didn’t pay attention to me. I then went to my aunt asking if my face looked fine to which she said “Yes I don’t see anything wrong with you, it’s perfectly fine”. I couldn’t believe this as I knew I just got bit by a snake and it wasn’t possible. I went in front of the mirror to check my face and it was starting to swell and become purple. I realized that my aunt just either pretended to pay attention to my face when she didn’t actually or she just lied about my face being fine. After that, I went to my mom right in front of her face and begged her to listen to me but she was least bothered since she was busy with my younger brother and listening to his stories. She looked at my face to scold me to shut up and looked away right after as if there was nothing wrong with me. I was just disheartened that no one was listening to me. I woke up after that
